Per Diem Instructional Aide - Blue Springs, MO

Make a direct impact in the classroom by supporting students academic and behavioral growth as a paraprofessional. Flexible, per diem opportunities are available for compassionate individuals interested in providing 1:1 or small-group assistance to students in a school-based setting. Each day presents an opportunity to foster student success by assisting with daily routines, adapting to individual needs, and creating an inclusive, positive learning environment.

Responsibilities:

• Support students in classroom activities, transitions, and participation
• Assist with academic, social, and behavioral development under the direction of teachers
• Implement behavior support plans and follow Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) as applicable
• Provide supervision, mobility support, and personal care for students when needed
• Help maintain a safe and respectful setting in line with school standards
• Collaborate with school staff to ensure each students needs are met

Minimum Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED
• At least 18 years old
• Ability to pass a TB test (per district guidelines)
• Capable of standing, walking, and assisting with lifting as required
• Current school clearances or willingness to obtain prior to start

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in schools, behavioral health, special education, or child care
• Familiarity with supporting students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges
• CPI, PMT, or RBT background (a bonus, not required)
• Reliable, flexible, and team-oriented approach
