Job Description
Make a direct impact in the classroom by supporting students academic and behavioral growth as a paraprofessional. Flexible, per diem opportunities are available for compassionate individuals interested in providing 1:1 or small-group assistance to students in a school-based setting. Each day presents an opportunity to foster student success by assisting with daily routines, adapting to individual needs, and creating an inclusive, positive learning environment.
Responsibilities:
- Support students in classroom activities, transitions, and participation
- Assist with academic, social, and behavioral development under the direction of teachers
- Implement behavior support plans and follow Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) as applicable
- Provide supervision, mobility support, and personal care for students when needed
- Help maintain a safe and respectful setting in line with school standards
- Collaborate with school staff to ensure each students needs are met
Minimum Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED
- At least 18 years old
- Ability to pass a TB test (per district guidelines)
- Capable of standing, walking, and assisting with lifting as required
- Current school clearances or willingness to obtain prior to start
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in schools, behavioral health, special education, or child care
- Familiarity with supporting students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges
- CPI, PMT, or RBT background (a bonus, not required)
- Reliable, flexible, and team-oriented approach
