Job Description

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist students academically, behaviorally, and socially within classroom environments
- Provide individualized or small group support under teacher and staff guidance
- Help students with daily routines, transitions, and classroom engagement
- Implement behavior support plans and follow individualized education programs (IEPs) as applicable
- Support mobility, supervision, and personal care needs to ensure student safety
- Maintain a respectful, inclusive, and safe learning environment
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Active ParaPro certification, Substitute Teaching certification, or a minimum of 36 college credits
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Compliance with school district requirements including TB testing and clearance background checks (current or willing to obtain)
- Ability to stand, walk, and assist with lifting as necessary
Preferred Experience:
- Working in schools, special education, behavioral health, or child care settings
- Experience supporting students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges
- Training or experience in CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention), PMT (Positive Management Techniques), or RBT (Registered Behavior Technician) is a plus
- Reliable, patient, and a strong team player
