Key Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized support to students with special needs
• Assist with daily living activities such as toileting, feeding, hygiene, and mobility
• Implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and behavior intervention plans (BIPs)
• Reinforce classroom instruction and aid students with academic tasks
• Monitor behavior and offer consistent behavioral support
• Help maintain a safe and structured classroom for all students
• Support students during classroom transitions, routines, lunch, and recess
• Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and communicate with school staff

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to obtain and maintain required Pennsylvania clearances (Act 34, Act 151, FBI Fingerprint, Act 168) and mandated reporter training
• Comfortable assisting with personal care and physical needs
• Strong communication skills, reliability, and professionalism
• Ability to adapt quickly and work independently within various school environments

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a PCA, Paraprofessional, Direct Support Professional (DSP), Teachers Aide, or Behavioral Health Technician (BHT)
• Experience with children, autism, developmental disabilities, or in special education settings
• Familiarity with behavior management or ABA strategies
• CPR/First Aid certification
