Job Description

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized support to students with special needs
- Assist with daily living activities such as toileting, feeding, hygiene, and mobility
- Implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and behavior intervention plans (BIPs)
- Reinforce classroom instruction and aid students with academic tasks
- Monitor behavior and offer consistent behavioral support
- Help maintain a safe and structured classroom for all students
- Support students during classroom transitions, routines, lunch, and recess
- Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and communicate with school staff
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to obtain and maintain required Pennsylvania clearances (Act 34, Act 151, FBI Fingerprint, Act 168) and mandated reporter training
- Comfortable assisting with personal care and physical needs
- Strong communication skills, reliability, and professionalism
- Ability to adapt quickly and work independently within various school environments
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a PCA, Paraprofessional, Direct Support Professional (DSP), Teachers Aide, or Behavioral Health Technician (BHT)
- Experience with children, autism, developmental disabilities, or in special education settings
- Familiarity with behavior management or ABA strategies
- CPR/First Aid certification
