Per Diem Instructional Aide - Bellevue, WA

Instructional Aide substitutes are needed to provide meaningful, on-call support for students in a welcoming school environment near Bellevue, WA. If you have a passion for helping children thrive and want flexibility in your work schedule, this per diem opportunity could be a great fit.

In these vital roles, youll work directly with students who require extra academic, behavioral, and social assistance. Shifts are based on school coverage needs, giving you control over your assignments and a chance to make an immediate impact in the classroom.

What Youll Do:

• Provide 1:1 and small-group support to students under the guidance of teachers and school staff
• Assist students academically, behaviorally, and socially in classroom settings
• Help students navigate daily routines, classroom transitions, and participation
• Implement behavior intervention plans and follow Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) when needed
• Supervise and support students mobility, safety, and personal care
• Foster a respectful, inclusive, and secure learning environment

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED
• At least 18 years old
• TB test (district requirement)
• Physical ability to stand, walk, and assist with lifting when necessary
• Willingness to obtain current clearances before starting

Preferred Experience:

• Previous experience in schools, special education, behavioral health, or child care roles
• Experience with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges
• CPI, PMT, or RBT knowledge is helpful but not required
• Reliable, patient, and collaborative approach
