Per Diem Special Education Paraprofessional in Bellevue, WA

In this role, youll provide insightful 1:1 or small-group academic, behavioral, and social support to students, helping them thrive in classroom environments. Your assistance will be instrumental for students with diverse learning styles and needs.

What Youll Do:

• Work closely with teachers to deliver both individualized and group support
• Help students with classroom routines, transitions, and participation
• Implement behavior plans and follow IEPs under direction
• Assist with mobility, supervision, and personal care as needed
• Maintain an engaging, safe, and inclusive environment for all students

Essential Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required
• Must be at least 18 years old
• TB screening (per district policy)
• Ability to stand, walk, and provide physical assistance as necessary
• Current clearances, or willingness to obtain prior to starting

Preferred Experience:

• Previous work in schools, special education, behavioral health, or child care
• Experience supporting children with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges
• Familiarity with CPI, PMT, or RBT a plus, but not required
• Dependable, compassionate, and collaborative work style
