Per Diem Instructional Aide - Bellevue, WA

As an instructional aide, youll work closely with students and teachers to foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment. Shifts are assigned according to school coverage needs, allowing you to select assignments that fit your schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

• Offer individualized or small-group assistance as directed by school staff
• Support students academically, behaviorally, and socially within classroom settings
• Help guide students through daily routines, transitions, and participatory activities
• Implement behavior support strategies and follow Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
• Assist with mobility, supervision, and personal care for students who need it
• Ensure a safe, respectful classroom atmosphere

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED and at least 18 years of age
• TB test completed per school district guidelines
• Physically able to stand, walk, and assist with lifting when necessary
• Current required clearances, or willingness to obtain them before starting

Preferred Experience:

• Prior work in schools, special education, behavioral health, or childcare
• Experience supporting students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges
• Familiarity with CPI, PMT, or RBT techniques (not required)
• Dependable, patient, and collaborative approach
