Key Responsibilities

• Assist students academically, behaviorally, and socially within the classroom setting
• Provide 1:1 or small-group support as directed by teachers and school staff
• Help students with daily routines, transitions, and active classroom engagement
• Implement behavior support strategies and follow Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Support students' mobility, supervision, and personal care needs as needed
• Foster a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment for all students

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• At least 18 years of age
• Ability to stand, walk, and assist with lifting
• Clear TB test (per district guidelines)
• Up-to-date background clearances or willingness to obtain prior to starting
• Commitment to school compliance standards

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in educational, special education, behavioral health, or child care settings
• Background supporting students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges
• CPI, PMT, or RBT certification/experience (a plus, not required)
• Dependable, patient, and collaborative team player
