Per Diem Instructional Aide - Barstow, CA

Key Responsibilities:

• Offer 1:1 or small group assistance, following teacher and staff direction
• Support students academically, behaviorally, and socially throughout their day
• Help students with transitions, routines, and classroom participation
• Implement behavior support strategies and adhere to IEPs as directed
• Supervise students, assist with mobility, and provide personal care when needed
• Maintain a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment at all times

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Obtain and maintain a current TB test per district guidelines
• Ability to stand, walk, and assist with lifting as needed
• All necessary clearances must be current or obtained before starting

Preferred Experience:

• Background in schools, special education, behavioral health, or child care
• Experience supporting students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges
• Familiarity with CPI, PMT, or RBT (not required, but a plus)
• Reliable, patient, and a true team player

Compensation for this position ranges from $18.52 to $30.52. This posting is open for 60 days after the posting date.
