Per Diem Instructional Aide in Aurora, IL

What Youll Do:

• Assist students with medical, behavioral, and social needs in school settings
• Provide direct, individualized support as guided by teaching staff
• Help students with daily routines, mobility, transitions, and classroom participation
• Ensure safety, promote inclusion, and foster a positive learning environment
• Support personal care and assistive needs, maintaining professionalism and respect

Requirements:

• A current Registered Nurse (RN) license
• High school diploma or GED
• At least 18 years of age
• Documentation of a recent TB test (as required by the district)
• Ability to stand, walk, and help with lifting as needed
• Ability to obtain and maintain all school compliance clearances

Preferred Skills & Background:

• Prior experience in schools, special education, behavioral health, or child care
• Familiarity with supporting students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges
• CPR, G-Tube, or Trach experience (helpful, not mandatory)
• Reliable, compassionate, and collaborative approach
