Per Diem Teacher Aide | Auburn, California

As a per diem substitute, youll play a vital part in helping students thrive academically, behaviorally, and socially, while enjoying flexibility to choose assignments that fit your schedule. Support will be provided both 1:1 and in small-group settings, in collaboration with teachers and school staff.

What Youll Do:

• Provide academic, behavioral, and social support to students in classroom environments
• Deliver individualized or small-group assistance as directed by educators
• Help students navigate daily routines, classroom transitions, and active participation
• Assist in implementing behavior support plans and individualized education programs (IEPs)
• Support personal care, supervision, and mobility needs as required
• Foster a safe, inclusive, and respectful school atmosphere

Basic Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum age of 18
• Recent TB test (in line with district requirements)
• Capability to stand, walk, and assist with student lifting when needed
• Current clearances or willingness to obtain all clearances prior to start

Preferred Experience:

• Previous work in schools, childcare, behavioral health, or special education
• Experience supporting students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges
• Familiarity with CPI, PMT, or RBT techniques (a plus but not required)
• Dependable, patient, and collaborative approach
