Per Diem Teacher's Aide - Arlington Heights, Illinois

Instructional Aide substitute opportunities are available for caring, adaptable professionals interested in providing valuable support within local school settings. As an on-call, per diem paraprofessional, you'll play a vital part in ensuring every school day runs smoothly by stepping in when extra hands are needed.

In this highly rewarding position, you'll:

• Assist students academically and behaviorally, working closely with both individuals and small groups
• Provide 1:1 guidance to help students participate fully in classroom activities
• Support daily routines, aid in transitions between activities, and assist according to teacher and school staff direction
• Implement behavior support plans, following Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) when appropriate
• Offer supervision and help with mobility or personal care needs as needed
• Foster a safe, inclusive, and positive classroom environment for all

Requirements for school compliance include:

• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum age of 18
• District-mandated TB test
• Physical ability to stand, walk, and occasionally assist with lifting
• Current or obtainable background clearances

Preferred applicants may have:

• Experience in schools, special education, behavioral health, or childcare environments
• Familiarity supporting students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges
• CPI, PMT, or RBT experience (helpful but not required)
• A dependable, patient, and collaborative approach

Compensation for this position ranges from $19.42 to $30.42. This posting is open for 60 days after the posting date.
