Per Diem Teacher Aide | Arlington Heights, Illinois

Play a vital role in supporting students success in a dynamic school setting. Flexible, per diem opportunities are available for skilled Paraprofessionals ready to make a difference every day. Work closely with students on a 1:1 basis, ensuring their medical, behavioral, and social needs are met within the classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver hands-on support to students as directed by teachers and staff
• Assist with daily care routines, classroom participation, transitions, and mobility
• Maintain a safe, welcoming, and inclusive learning atmosphere
• Address behavioral and supervision needs as required
• Provide personal care and medical support for individual students
• Collaborate with educators and related professionals to ensure optimal student outcomes

Qualifications:

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required
• High school diploma or GED, and at least 18 years old
• TB testing in accordance with school requirements
• Current clearances, or willingness to obtain them before beginning work
• Physical ability to stand, walk, and provide lifting assistance as necessary

Preferred Experience:

• Background in school settings, special education, behavioral health, or child care
• Experience working with students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges
• CPR, G-Tube, or Trach experience highly regarded
• Dependability, compassion, and a collaborative spirit
