Per Diem Parapro | Antioch, California

Instructional Aide substitutes are needed to play a vital role in supporting students throughout the school day. These per diem positions offer flexibility based on school coverage needs and are perfect for caring professionals eager to make an impact in a supportive, school-based environment.

What You'll Do:

• Provide direct 1:1 or small-group support to students in classroom settings
• Assist with academic, behavioral, and social development under the guidance of teachers
• Help students with routines, transitions, and classroom participation
• Follow IEPs and implement behavior support plans as necessary
• Support students mobility, supervision, and personal care when needed
• Maintain a safe, respectful, and inclusive atmosphere for all students

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED
• At least 18 years of age
• Current TB test (or willingness to obtain per district requirements)
• Ability to stand, walk, and provide physical assistance if necessary
• Required school clearances (current or able to obtain before starting)

Preferred Experience:

• Work or volunteer experience in educational, behavioral health, or child care settings
• Familiarity with supporting students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges
• CPI, PMT, or RBT certification is a plus but not required
• A reliable, patient, and collaborative approach to helping students succeed
