Per Diem Instructional Assistant - Antioch, CA

Instructional Aide Subs are currently sought to step in and support students on a 1:1 basis across local school settings. This per diem opportunity is perfect for those who bring compassion and flexibility, and want to make a meaningful impact as part of the school community. Assignments are offered as-needed, giving you the flexibility to accept work around your scheduleall while providing essential academic and behavioral support.

You will play a key role in helping students thrive by assisting with daily routines, transitions, classroom participation, and behavior support. These positions offer the chance to develop valuable skills while working closely with educators and making a direct difference in students daily experiences.

What youll do:

• Provide individualized and small group support to students under teachers guidance
• Assist with classroom routines, transitions, and student supervision
• Support student participation, social skills, and mobility needs
• Implement behavior support strategies and follow IEPs as required
• Ensure a safe, respectful, and supportive learning environment

Essential requirements:

• High school diploma or GED
• At least 18 years old
• Ability to stand, walk, and assist with lifting as needed
• TB test (per district requirements)
• Current or willing to obtain background clearances before starting

Preferred background:

• Experience working with students, especially those with special needs, behavioral challenges, or autism
• Previous roles in education, behavioral health, or childcare are a plus
• Additional experience such as CPI, PMT, or RBT is beneficial but not required
• Reliable, patient, and collaborative attitude

Compensation for this position ranges from $18.52 to $30.52. This posting is open for 60 days after the posting date.
