Per Diem Instructional Assistant - Antioch, CA

Instructional Aide Substitutes are needed to provide valuable classroom support for students on a per diem basis. Key Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized or small-group support to students as directed by teachers and staff
• Assist with implementing behavior support plans and following student IEPs
• Support students during daily routines, class transitions, and classroom participation
• Aid students with personal care, supervision, and mobility as needed
• Help maintain a safe, inclusive, and respectful learning environment

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED
• At least 18 years old
• Current TB test (as required by district)
• Ability to stand, walk, and assist with lifting
• Background clearances and compliance with district requirements (current or willing to obtain)

Preferred Experience:

• Background in school settings, special education, behavioral health, or childcare
• Familiarity assisting students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges
• CPI, PMT, or RBT credentials a plus (not required)
• Demonstrated reliability, patience, and strong teamwork skills
