Per Diem Paraeducator in Ann Arbor, MI

As a valued team member, youll work per diem, stepping in when your support is needed mostgiving you maximum flexibility while allowing you to build meaningful connections with students and school staff.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide one-on-one or small-group support to students in classroom environments
• Assist with academics, social skills, and behavioral needs as directed by teachers
• Support daily routines, classroom transitions, and facilitate active participation
• Follow individualized education plans (IEPs) and implement behavior support strategies
• Offer mobility assistance, supervision, and help with personal care needs
• Maintain a safe, inclusive, and respectful learning atmosphere for everyone

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED
• At least 18 years of age
• Able to meet school compliance, including a current TB test and background clearances (willingness to obtain prior to start)
• Physically able to stand, walk, and assist with occasional lifting

Preferred Experience:

• Prior work in schools, special education, behavioral health, or child care
• Experience supporting students with special needs, behavioral challenges, or autism
• Familiarity with CPI, PMT, or RBT is a plus (not required)
• Reliable, patient, and collaborative work approach
