Per Diem Paraeducator in Andover, MN

Instructional Aide substitutes are needed for flexible, per diem assignments supporting students in school settings near Andover, MN. Position Highlights:

• Work as an integral part of the school day, assisting students academically, behaviorally, and socially in both classroom and small group settings
• Provide direct 1:1 support based on the needs of the students and direction from teachers or school staff
• Help students navigate daily routines, transitions, and classroom participation
• Follow and implement behavior support plans, including adherence to IEPs as required
• Assist with mobility, supervision, and personal care needs, promoting student safety and inclusion
• Maintain a respectful, supportive, and diverse learning environment

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Ability to stand, walk, and assist with lifting as needed
• TB test (per districts requirements)
• Current (or willingness to obtain) school clearances prior to start

Preferred Experience:

• Previous experience in a classroom, special education, behavioral health, or child care environment
• Background supporting students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges
• Experience with CPI, PMT, or RBT is a plus, not required
• Strong teamwork skills, reliability, and a patient, caring attitude
