Instructional Aide Substitutes Needed Per Diem, School-Based

Position Responsibilities:

• Assist students individually or in small groups as directed by teachers or staff
• Provide academic, behavioral, and social support throughout the school day
• Guide students through daily routines, classroom transitions, and activities
• Follow behavior support plans and IEPs, working closely with school teams
• Support mobility, supervision, and personal care needs as required
• Foster a safe, respectful, and positive classroom atmosphere

Requirements for School Compliance:

• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum 18 years of age
• TB test (per district requirements)
• Physically able to stand, walk, and assist with lifting
• Current clearance or willingness to obtain before starting

Preferred Experience and Qualities:

• Background in school, special education, behavioral health, or childcare settings
• Experience working with students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges
• CPI, PMT, or RBT training is a plus but not required
• Patient, reliable, and collaborative approach
