Job Description

Instructional Aide Subs are needed for flexible, per diem opportunities supporting students in school settings near Anaheim, CA. These school-based roles provide rewarding, hands-on experience working directly with studentsperfect for compassionate professionals eager to make a positive impact. As an Instructional Aide, youll deliver essential 1:1 or small-group support following teacher guidance, ensuring every student receives the encouragement and resources needed to succeed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist students with academics, behavior, and social engagement in classrooms
  • Provide individualized or small-group support as directed by educators and staff
  • Aid with daily routines, classroom transitions, and student engagement
  • Follow behavior support plans and Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) as applicable
  • Support student safety, supervision, and mobility/personal care needs
  • Help maintain a respectful, inclusive, and welcoming learning environment

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum age of 18 years
  • TB test (per district requirements)
  • Physically able to stand, walk, and provide lifting support
  • Up-to-date background clearances (or willingness to obtain them prior to start)

Preferred Experience:

  • Previous work in a school, special education, behavioral health, or child care setting
  • Experience supporting students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges
  • Training such as CPI, PMT, or RBT is a plus, not mandatory
  • Dependable, patient, and highly collaborative
