Key Responsibilities:
- Offer 1:1 educational and behavioral support to students, following plans from teachers and school staff
- Assist with classroom activities, daily routines, and student transitions
- Maintain a safe, inclusive, and respectful learning environment
- Implement behavior management strategies and follow IEPs as directed
- Provide support for student mobility and personal care needs when necessary
- Supervise students and encourage their participation in all aspects of school life
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED, and at least 18 years old
- Completion of a TB test in accordance with school standards
- Capability to stand, walk, and assist with lifting as needed
- Ability to pass all necessary background checks (or willingness to obtain clearances prior to starting)
Preferred Experience:
- Previous work in schools, special education, behavioral health, or related settings
- Experience with students with special needs, autism spectrum conditions, or behavioral challenges
- CPI, PMT, or RBT certification is valued, but not mandatory
- Strong sense of reliability, patience, and effective teamwork
