Per Diem Teacher Assistant - Adelanto, California

Key Responsibilities

• Support students academic, behavioral, and social progress in classroom settings
• Deliver 1:1 or small-group assistance as directed by teaching staff
• Aid students with daily routines, transitions, and classroom engagement
• Implement behavior support strategies and follow IEP plans when required
• Assist with mobility, supervision, and personal care needs
• Promote a safe, inclusive, and respectful learning space

Qualifications & Compliance Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required
• Minimum 18 years of age
• TB test cleared, in accordance with district guidelines
• Ability to stand, walk, and assist with lifting
• Current or willing to obtain all required school clearances before starting

Preferred Experience

• Previous work in schools, special education, behavioral health, or child care
• Experience supporting students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges
• Familiarity with CPI, PMT, or RBT (a plus, not required)
• Demonstrated reliability, patience, and collaborative spirit
