Per Diem Instructional Assistant - Adelanto, CA

This on-call position allows you to play a vital role in the classroom communityproviding both 1:1 and small group assistance tailored to day-to-day needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver academic, social, and behavioral support to students within classroom settings
• Work 1:1 or with small groups, guided by teachers and staff
• Assist students with daily routines, transitions, and full classroom participation
• Help implement behavior support plans and follow Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), where appropriate
• Provide supervision, support mobility, and help with personal care as needed
• Foster a safe, respectful, and inclusive atmosphere for all students

Essential Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum 18 years of age
• Current TB test (per district requirements)
• Ability to stand, walk, or assist with lifting as needed
• Willingness to obtain clearances required for school employment

Preferred:

• Previous experience in schools, special education, behavioral health, or childcare
• Familiarity with supporting students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges
• Exposure to CPI, PMT, or RBT practicesan advantage, but not mandatory
• Strong reliability, patience, and a collaborative approach
