Per Diem Teacher's Aide - Acton, California

In this position, you will:

• Provide academic, behavioral, and social support to students within classrooms
• Deliver 1:1 or small-group assistance under the direction of teachers and staff
• Help students navigate daily routines, transitions, and classroom participation
• Follow individualized education plans (IEPs) and implement behavior support strategies
• Support mobility, personal care, and maintain supervision as needed
• Create a safe, inclusive, and respectful learning atmosphere

Requirements to work in school settings:

• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum age of 18 years
• Compliance with TB test requirements (per district policy)
• Physical ability to stand, walk, and assist with lifting when needed
• All necessary clearances up-to-date or willingness to obtain before starting

Preferred qualities include:

• Prior experience in schools, special education, behavioral health, or child care environments
• Familiarity with supporting students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges
• Experience with CPI, PMT, or RBT is a plus (though not mandatory)
• Reliable, patient, and collaborative approach
