Per Diem Instructional Assistant - Abingdon, IL

Instructional Aide Substitute positions are available for compassionate, flexible professionals interested in making a daily impact within a school environment near Abingdon, IL. What Youll Do:

• Assist students academically, behaviorally, and socially in classrooms
• Support 1:1 or small groups, directed by teachers and staff
• Help students with daily routines, transitions, and classroom engagement
• Implement behavior support strategies and follow IEP guidelines as needed
• Provide supervision, mobility support, and assist with personal care
• Foster a safe, inclusive, and respectful learning environment

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED
• At least 18 years of age
• Ability to pass a TB test (as required)
• Physically able to stand, walk, and assist with mobility/lifting
• Willingness to complete or update necessary clearances prior to working

Preferred Experience:

• Work in schools, behavioral health, special education, or child care
• Experience supporting students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges
• CPI, PMT, or RBT experience (not required, but helpful)
• Demonstrated reliability, patience, and collaborative attitude

Compensation for this position ranges from $19.42 to $30.42. This posting is open for 60 days after the posting date.
