Support student health needs in a school-based environment with flexible, per diem opportunities. This role is designed for compassionate Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN/LVN) or Registered Nurses (RN) who seek to provide crucial healthcare services in educational settings.

Position Type: Per Diem (as-needed, flexible shifts based on school coverage requirements)

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct clinical care including first aid, acute illness treatment, and emergency management for students and staff.
• Develop and implement Individualized Healthcare Plans (IHPs) and Emergency Care Plans (ECPs) for students with chronic conditions or disabilities.
• Safely store, monitor, and administer prescription and over-the-counter medications.
• Conduct routine health screenings such as vision, hearing, and growth assessments.
• Maintain accurate and confidential student medical records, ensuring vaccination compliance.
• Deliver health education focused on nutrition, hygiene, disease prevention, and overall wellness.
• Monitor for communicable diseases and ensure the school environment adheres to health and safety regulations.

Required Qualifications:

• Active LPN/LVN or RN license in Michigan.
• TB test completed per district requirements.
• Current clearances or willingness to obtain required school clearances before starting.
• BLS/CPR/AED certification (or ability to obtain as required).
• Preferred experience in pediatrics, emergency care, or community health.
• Strong clinical assessment and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and maintain electronic health records accurately.
