Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct first aid and acute care, managing emergencies and supporting daily student health needs
• Develop and implement Individualized Healthcare Plans and Emergency Care Plans for students with chronic illnesses or disabilities
• Safely administer and document prescription and over-the-counter medications
• Conduct health screenings for early detection of vision, hearing, and growth issues
• Keep thorough and confidential student medical records, ensuring compliance with vaccination and health documentation requirements
• Educate students and staff about nutrition, hygiene, disease prevention, and wellness topics
• Promote and maintain a safe, compliant school environment; monitor for communicable diseases

Required Qualifications:

• Valid LPN/LVN or RN license in Pennsylvania
• Current BLS/CPR/AED certification; additional school nursing certification may be required
• Recent TB test (or ability to obtain per district guidelines)
• Up-to-date clearances or willingness to complete them before starting
• Preferred experience in pediatrics, emergency care, or community health
• Strong assessment, independent decision-making, and excellent communication skills
• Ability to learn or demonstrate proficiency with electronic health records
