Key Qualifications:

• Active Alabama LPN License required
• Must be at least 18 years old
• TB test compliance in accordance with district guidelines
• Physically able to stand, walk, and assist with lifting as needed
• Current background clearances or willingness to secure them before starting
• Preferred experience with school, special education, behavioral health, or child care settings
• Familiarity supporting students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges is a plus
• Certification or experience in crisis prevention (CPI), Professional Crisis Management Training (PMT), or Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) highly regarded
• Dependable, patient, and strong team player

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Deliver 1:1 or small group support in academic, behavioral, and social areas under teacher direction
• Assist students with daily routines, classroom engagement, and transitions
• Implement behavioral support plans and follow Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Support students with mobility, provide supervision, and attend to personal care tasks as needed
• Help foster a safe, inclusive, and respectful classroom environment
