Per Diem Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in Des Plaines, IL

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver 1:1 support for students as directed by teachers and school staff
• Attend to medical, behavioral, and social needs within classroom settings
• Assist students with activities of daily living, mobility, transitions, and classroom engagement
• Provide personal care, mobility assistance, and supervision as required
• Work to ensure a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for all students

Qualifications:

• Active RN license
• Minimum of a high school diploma or GED
• 18 years of age or older
• Willingness to undergo a TB test (per school requirements)
• Ability to stand, walk, and help with lifting when necessary
• All required clearances current or willingness to obtain them before starting

Preferred Experience:

• Previous work in school, special education, behavioral health, or child care settings
• Experience supporting students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges
• CPR, G-Tube, or Trach experience welcomed but not mandatory
• Dependable, patient, and collaborative approach

Compensation for this position ranges from $21.34 to $35.34. This posting is open for 60 days after the posting date.
