Job Description

A contracted position is available for a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) or ABA therapist to provide Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services to students with autism in a K-12 educational setting. This assignment is located near a rural area northeast of a national forest in Melbourne, Arkansas, serving approximately 6 to 10 children requiring ABA therapy support.

Responsibilities include developing and implementing individualized ABA intervention plans, conducting behavioral assessments, and providing ongoing direct therapy and supervision tailored to the unique needs of each student. Collaboration with educational and clinical staff to monitor progress and adjust strategies is essential. The expected workload averages around 10 hours per week based on the current caseload.

Desired qualifications and experience:

  • Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification preferred; Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) with relevant ABA experience will also be considered.
  • Proven expertise in delivering ABA therapy to children with autism in a school-based environment.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote or rural setting.
  • Strong assessment and behavioral intervention skills.
  • Effective communication and collaboration abilities with educational staff, families, and interdisciplinary teams.

This assignment offers an opportunity to fill a long-standing ABA support role in a district with limited access to such services, providing meaningful impact to students with autism. Hours are to be determined but expected near 10 hours per week, allowing flexibility for caseload management.

To be considered, submit qualifications demonstrating BCBA or ABA therapy credentials and experience working in school settings. This contract requires professionals committed to making a difference in behavioral support for students with autism in a rural district setting. Apply today to explore this specialized role.
