On Call BCBA School Position: 25/26 School Year

Job Posting: On Call Registered Behavioral Technician 

Position: On site RBT
Location: Bridgewater, Connecticut area 
Job Type: On call / Substitute position
Pay Range: 25-36$ 

We are seeking a passionate, dedicated, and experienced Registered Behavioral Technician to join our team on a per diem basis to support our students with behavioral needs in a variety of school settings.

Responsibilities: 

• Implement Behavior Plans

  • Follow individualized behavior intervention plans (BIPs) written by the BCBA.

  • Use reinforcement, prompting, and other ABA techniques.

• Data Collection

  • Collect accurate, detailed data on client behavior, skills, and progress.

  • Track behavior frequency, duration, intensity, etc.

• Skill Acquisition Programs

  • Teach skills in areas like communication, social interaction, academics, self-help, etc.

  • Use discrete trial training (DTT), natural environment teaching (NET), and other ABA methods.

• Behavior Reduction

  • Respond to challenging behaviors based on behavior plans.

  • Implement strategies for behavior reduction (e.g., extinction, redirection).

• Work Under Supervision

  • Receive ongoing supervision from a BCBA or BCaBA (typically 5% of monthly hours).

  • Participate in team meetings and training sessions.

• Documentation & Communication

  • Maintain session notes, incident reports, and other required documentation.

In a school setting, additional requirements can vary depending on the school district or state. These may include:

• Fingerprinting and additional background checks (as required for all school employees)

• TB testing or health screenings

• Training on school-specific protocols, such as:

  • IEPs (Individualized Education Programs)

  • FERPA (student privacy laws)

  • Mandated reporter training

• Being able to work under the direction of a BCBA or a special education teacher

• In some cases: Experience with children, CPI training, or First Aid/CPR certification
